OTHO Ltd, a consultancy and training company based at The Hive in Weston-super-Mare, has won an award for its work during the coronavirus pandemic producing regular briefing notes which consolidate the latest government advice across the four UK nations. The first briefing was issued on 19th March 2020 and then daily for the first 100 days of the pandemic. This was followed by weekly summaries for the next 60 weeks. They have wide circulation in the UK and overseas.
OTHO has been awarded ‘Emergency Management Consultancy of the Year 2021’ by Southern Enterprise Awards which are hosted by SME News. SME News is a quarterly digital publication aimed at those who own, run or assist in the running of small and medium-sized businesses within the UK.
Tony Thompson, Director of Otho, has also been given a personal Award of Excellence for 2021 by the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management for his work preparing the COVID-19 briefing notes. Tony is a Fellow of the Institute.
OTHO’s was a finalist in the Somerset Business Awards 2021 for outstanding achievement, winner of the South West England Prestige Awards for Emergency Management Consultancy of the Year 2020/21, and judged ‘Best Safety & Crisis Management Consultancy UK’ in Corporate Vision’s Coaching and Recruitment Awards 2020.
